YOUR CUSTOMER GUIDE

Your TradeMax credit, explained.

TradeMax can help when you are ready for another vehicle. Your Trade Credit Limit builds over time, and an Available Trade Credit may be applied if you trade your enrolled vehicle for a replacement purchase or lease within the participating Dealer Group.

TradeMax is optional. Your signed Customer Acknowledgment has the full program terms.

How it works

1. Your limit builds

After the first 12 full months, your Trade Credit Limit increases by $100 for each full month your original loan remains open, up to $5,000. The limit is a maximum eligibility amount, not a cash balance.

2. Return to your dealer group

When you are ready, trade the enrolled vehicle toward a replacement purchase or lease at a participating location within the same Dealer Group. A private sale, refinance, or transaction elsewhere does not qualify.

3. Apply an available credit

The Available Trade Credit is the lesser of your Trade Credit Limit and the Program Trade Gap calculated under the terms. It is a noncash credit applied to the replacement transaction. It cannot be paid to you or directly to your lender.

Frequently asked questions

How does my Trade Credit Limit grow?

It increases by $100 for each full month after the first 12 full months while your original vehicle loan remains open, up to $5,000. The published schedule sets the limit; changes in your vehicle’s value or condition do not raise it.

How is the amount applied at trade-in determined?

Your Available Trade Credit is the lesser of your scheduled Limit and the Program Trade Gap. The gap uses the remaining scheduled loan balance and the Program Black Book value under the methodology in your Customer Acknowledgment. It is not based on your actual appraisal, mileage, condition, wholesale proceeds, depreciation, or economic loss.

What if I have equity?

If the Program Trade Gap is zero or less, there is no Available Trade Credit. Your dealer will explain the actual trade and replacement transaction separately.

Can I use it at another dealership?

You may use an Available Trade Credit at participating locations within the same Dealer Group. It is not redeemable with an unrelated dealer.

Does TradeMax change my loan?

No. It does not cancel, waive, suspend, modify, or assume your existing debt or change the lender’s rights. Your existing financing is satisfied in the ordinary course when you complete the replacement transaction.

What ends eligibility?

The program terms govern eligibility and ending events. Review your signed Customer Acknowledgment with the selling dealership for the conditions that apply to you.

Can I cash it out or use it after a private sale?

No. There is no cash redemption, direct loan payment, or independent redemption through a private sale, refinance, or transaction outside your Dealer Group.

Does TradeMax guarantee my vehicle’s value?

No. It does not insure or guarantee resale, wholesale, trade-in, residual, or future market value. Vehicle depreciation or negative equity alone does not trigger a credit.

What does it cost?

The dealership will disclose the optional program price as part of your vehicle purchase. Review your purchase documents and Customer Acknowledgment for your specific terms.
