TRADEMAX / DEALER RESOURCE
Dealer sales guide
Introduce TradeMax clearly, price it consistently, and give customers the details they need to decide.
TradeMax is an optional, non-cancellable front-end trade credit program for financed new and used vehicles. After the first year, a customer’s Trade Credit Limit increases by $100 per full month, up to $5,000. An Available Trade Credit may be applied only when the customer trades the enrolled vehicle for a replacement purchase or lease within the participating Dealer Group. It is not cash or a guaranteed vehicle value.
AT THE SALES DESK
Three steps. A clear explanation.
01 / Show it early
Include TradeMax early in the deal at the sales desk. If needed, mention it again in F&I. Present it as optional and show the price in the Vehicle Selling Price.
02 / Hand over the info card
Give every customer the TradeMax card. Its QR code opens the customer guide with benefits and FAQs. The customer can review the full details before deciding.
03 / Use this short explanation
“TradeMax builds a Trade Credit Limit up to $5,000 toward your next vehicle with our group. This card explains how it works and when a credit may be available.”
Have the customer review and sign the one-page Customer Acknowledgment. It governs the Program and should be retained with the deal documents.

Dealer cost is set automatically by loan term, using the same rate card for every store: $500 for loans of 72 months or less and $600 for 73 to 84 months. Tier 4 vehicles, listed on the rate card and applied automatically by VIN, add $700. Agent compensation, if any, is added on top of dealer cost. Suggested retail is $995 to $1,595, which typically adds $500 to $1,000 in front-end gross per deal. Payment is due within 30 days of enrollment, and an enrollment isn’t valid until payment is received. Rate card changes apply only to enrollments sold at least 30 days after notice.
-
Financed deals only, with terms up to 84 months. New and used vehicles from the last six model years. New vehicle MSRP up to $100,000; used vehicle selling price up to $70,000 and up to 60,000 starting miles. Battery EVs and commercial vehicles are ineligible. No frame or unibody damage, airbag deployment, or salvage, rebuilt, flood, fire, hail, or odometer history. Check the rate card and program documents before enrollment.
-
Show TradeMax early at the sales desk on every eligible deal, then reinforce it in F&I if needed. It is optional and included in the Vehicle Selling Price. Give the customer the info card and time to review the QR guide and one-page Customer Acknowledgment. Do not present it as insurance, GAP, a warranty, debt cancellation, cash, or a guaranteed appraisal.
-
The published ownership schedule establishes the maximum Trade Credit Limit: $100 for each full month after the first 12 months while the original loan remains open, up to $5,000. At a voluntary replacement transaction within the participating Dealer Group, the Available Trade Credit is the lesser of that Limit and the Program Trade Gap calculated under the Customer Acknowledgment. The standardized calculation does not change with actual mileage, condition, dealer appraisal, wholesale proceeds, or actual depreciation. Negative equity or depreciation alone does not trigger a benefit.
-
The customer signs the one-page Customer Acknowledgment. Keep it with the transaction documents and provide a copy to the customer. It is separate from the retail installment contract and need not be submitted to the lender. TradeMax does not modify the customer’s loan or the lender’s rights; the existing financing is satisfied in the ordinary course of the replacement transaction.
-
Email the finance contract to contracts@getflexpass.com with the dealership name as the subject, as specified in the dealer guide. Confirm the current submission process with the TradeMax team before your first remittance.
-
The Program calculation excludes prior negative equity from another vehicle, whether or not it was disclosed, refunds available on cancellable products, and amounts unrelated to this vehicle purchase. The signed Customer Acknowledgment controls the precise calculation and eligibility. A credit cannot be redeemed for cash, applied directly against the old loan, or used in a private sale, refinance, or transaction outside the participating Dealer Group.
